About the game
Released in November 2014 by Scott Cawthon, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is quite similar, basing the plot around the survival of a security guard during their night shift.
The game starts with the re-opening of the pizza place after tragically shutting down. Except for this time, it’s not quite the same. The substantial change in layout forces you to keep a closer eye on the pizzeria.
Since Freddy’s pizza place has been upgraded, there’s no reason not to improve the animatronics. They are now much more advanced, equipped with facial recognition and a criminal database to protect the children.
Despite the sick feeling you may feel in the pit of your stomach, your goal is to survive five days from midnight to when the store opens for five consecutive days.
Empty Freddy Fazbear head
You get a replica of Freddy’s head to use as a disguise. The purpose of this equipment is to fool the animatronics as they now have face detection. When putting this item on, they’ll leave you alone however you can’t use any other tool while having to wear the head.
Rather than having to worry about maintaining the camera’s battery life and saving energy, the second version comes with more flexibility regarding the exploration of the pizzeria. You now have a flashlight instead. However, the drawback is that the batteries drain very quickly.
New animatronic character
A brand-new character has been added into the sequence known as Balloon Boy. sneaking up on you around the pizzeria and disabling your items. Although he cannot kill the guard, he pulls annoying pranks and sends chilling giggle sounds throughout the game.
Unlike the Five Nights 1, there are no doors to separate you from the animatronics. The security camera room is fully exposed to the deadly creatures, making the whole experience even more overwhelming. The fact that you remain unprotected down along a dark hall gives an unexplainable chilling feeling.
There are many reasons why people find this game scary. Establishing an incredibly tense situation, Five Nights at Freddy’s has only gotten harder.
With the level of difficulty ramped up a notch, the game has received an extraordinary amount of publicity.
